SSHMo Privacy Policy

Effective date: May 5, 2026

SSHMo is a mobile SSH client for direct server access. This Privacy Policy explains what data the app handles, where it is stored, and how third-party services such as Google AdMob and Google Play Billing are used.

Summary

• SSHMo does not use an SSH bridge server, relay server, or app backend.
• SSH connections are made directly from your device to the server you configure.
• SSHMo stores your saved hosts, identities, keys, snippets, known-host fingerprints, settings, and optional backups locally on your device.
• SSHMo may show ads through Google AdMob unless you purchase Remove Ads Lifetime.
• In-app purchases are processed by Google Play Billing.
• SSHMo does not require a separate app account or Google Sign-In inside the app.

Information You Provide

SSHMo may store the following information locally on your device when you enter or create it:

• SSH connection names, groups, hostnames or IP addresses, ports, and usernames.
• Passwords, private keys, private-key passphrases, and reusable identities.
• Known-host fingerprints and trust decisions.
• Command snippets and custom terminal shortcut keys.
• App settings such as language, theme, terminal theme, biometric login preference, timeout, keep-alive, and reconnect settings.
• Optional local session logs if you enable session logging.
• Optional encrypted backup files that you export.

This data is used only to provide app functionality.

Local Storage

SSHMo stores app data on your device. The app is designed to work without a cloud account and without a backend server.

You are responsible for protecting your device, PIN, biometric unlock, and exported backup files. SSH credentials and private keys are sensitive information.

SSH and SFTP Connections

When you connect to a server, SSHMo sends the connection details and authentication material required by the SSH protocol directly from your device to the target server or to your selected jump host.

SSHMo does not proxy, inspect, or relay SSH traffic through an SSHMo-controlled server.

Biometric Login

SSHMo can use your device biometric authentication, such as fingerprint or face unlock, through the operating system.

SSHMo does not receive or store your biometric data. Biometric verification is handled by Android or iOS.

Ads

SSHMo uses Google AdMob to show ads.

Ads may be shown in these areas:

• Home or list areas when a production banner ad unit is configured.
• Optional rewarded video in Support Development.
• Post-disconnect fullscreen rewarded ad only after an SSH session has been closed and frequency/cooldown rules allow it.

SSHMo does not show fullscreen ads while an SSH terminal session is active.

Google AdMob may collect or process data as described in Google's own policies, including device identifiers, ad interactions, approximate location, diagnostics, and other advertising-related data depending on your device settings and Google configuration.

In-App Purchases

SSHMo offers a one-time purchase:

• Product ID: remove_ads_lifetime
• Benefit: removes ads permanently in the app.

Purchases are processed by Google Play Billing. SSHMo receives purchase status from Google Play to enable or restore the remove-ads entitlement.

SSHMo does not process payment card data directly.

Files and SFTP

If you use SFTP upload or download features, SSHMo may ask you to select local files or save downloaded files on your device.

SSHMo accesses only files you choose through the file picker or files created by SSHMo, such as exported backups or downloaded files.

Session Logs

Session logging is optional. If enabled, SSHMo stores terminal output logs locally on your device.

Terminal output may contain sensitive information such as commands, server paths, environment details, tokens, or secrets. Enable session logging only if you understand this risk.

Encrypted Backups

SSHMo can export app configuration to an encrypted local backup file. The backup may include saved connections, identities, snippets, custom terminal keys, and settings.

Keep backup passwords and backup files secure. If you share or upload a backup file, you are responsible for where it goes.

Data Sharing

SSHMo does not sell your personal data.

SSHMo does not send your SSH credentials, private keys, snippets, known-host data, or terminal logs to an SSHMo backend.

Data may be processed by third parties only where required for app platform features:

• Google AdMob for ads.
• Google Play Billing for purchases.
• Your SSH/SFTP servers when you connect to them.

Children's Privacy

SSHMo is intended for users who manage servers or technical systems. It is not directed to children.

Security

SSHMo includes security-focused features such as PIN login, optional biometric unlock, known-host fingerprint validation, and encrypted local backup.

No app can guarantee absolute security. Keep your device updated, protect your PIN, and avoid storing unnecessary secrets.

Your Choices

You can:

• Delete saved SSH connections and identities in the app.
• Remove known-host entries.
• Disable biometric login.
• Disable session logging.
• Delete session logs.
• Export or import encrypted backups.
• Purchase Remove Ads Lifetime.
• Restore purchases through Google Play Billing.
• Uninstall the app to remove locally stored app data, subject to operating-system backup behavior.

Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated when SSHMo changes its features, third-party services, or data handling.

The effective date at the top of this document indicates the latest version.
